Haunted by family and friendship, grief and jubilation, politics and philosophy - Susan McMaster's warm, human, and conversational poetry speaks to a wide range of readers. In her first collection since 2010, she finds renewed inspiration in themes of aging, holding on to love and desire, and immersing herself in the natural world of forest and lake and sea.
Ottawa poet Susan McMaster has published some 30 books, anthologies, and word music recordings. She's a past president of the League of Canadian Poets, and an active mentor and collaborator with writers, artists, and musicians.
