One World Two is even more ambitious than Volume One in its geographic scope, featuring 21 writers drawn from every continent. Most of the stories are unique to this volume, while others are appearing for the first time in English (as in the case of the contributions from Egypt's Mansoura Ez—Eldin and Brazil's Vanessa Barbara).
Some of the writers are established stars while others are still building a reputation. There is a loose theme of bridges between people and cultures but the themes and writing styles are as richly diverse as their writers' origins.
Another globe—trotting collection of stories, introducing a diverse range of writers (many well—known alongside some new discoveries), narratives and perspectives conveying the reader across continents, cultures and landscapes.
The first volume of One World has sold over 20,000 copies and has been widely course—adopted in schools and universities. One World Two contains stories appearing for the first time in English and a foreword by Elleke Boehmer, Professor of World Literature in English, Oxford.
All authors' royalties from the sale of One World will be donated to the Red Cross.
