Ethel tries to teach her friend Henry how to fly. But Henry has no feathers and no clue what to do. So Ethel thinks very hard about a flight plan. She plucks out some of her own feathers and shows Henry how to flap his wings. Together, they work very hard until Henry finally lifts off without making a mistake. They soar over the trees until... oops… Ethel doesn’t quite see what’s ahead.
Lisa has always been surrounded with kids. She has them. She teaches them. She reads to them, and now writes for them. For the last 9 years, she has taught Special Education in inner city schools promoting community partnerships and setting up programs for emerging and intermediate readers. She has also written for Reader’s Digest and freelanced for several newspapers.
